The Legal Requirements


In the United Kingdom, all businesses using IPLs and laser equipment must,

- Undertake a suitable and sufficient risk assessment
- Provide safety information and training for all staff
- Have written policies and procedures in place (businesses employing 5 or more staff)

Depending upon geographical location and/or treatments offered, the following may also be required,

- Register with the HIW (Wales), CQC (England) or RQIA (Northern Ireland)
- Special Treatments Licence from the council
